Netflix is giving a glimpse of the new film Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Again?
The streaming service shared a teaser trailer for the movie Thursday featuring Perry and Sharon Leal.
Why Did I Get Married Again? is a new sequel to Perry’s Why Did I Get Married (2007) and Why Did I Get Married Too? (2010). The original film followed four couples as they navigate the ups and downs of marriage during a college reunion getaway.
Perry and Leal return as Terry and Dianne, with Michael Jai White and Tasha Smith as Marcus and Angela, Lamman Rucker and Jill Scott as Troy and Sheila, and Richard T. Jones as Mike.
In addition, Taraji P. Henson joins the cast as Roselyn.
Why Did I Get Married Again? follows the gang to Italy as Marcus and Angela’s daughter Jasmine prepares to marry Roselyn’s son Wesley.
“After being apart for quite some time, they learn quickly that as much as things change, they stay the same. Realizing their children have grown up to be so much like them, they must reflect on the examples they’ve set and ask themselves that age-old question, why did they get married… again?” an official synopsis reads.
Why Did I Get Married Again? premieres Sept. 9 on Netflix.
