‘Children of Blood and Bone’ goes behind-the-scenes in new clip

Paramount explores the fantasy world of Orïsha in a new behind-the-scenes video for upcoming epic, Children of Blood and Bone.
Director and co-screenwriter Gina Prince-Bythewood takes fans to the South African set of the film in the clip released on Monday.
Children of Blood and Bone, based on the novel by Tomi Adeyemi, follows a young woman on a quest to reclaim the magic that was violently stolen from her people.
“I wanted to create a world that we can be inspired by,” Prince-Bythewood says.
“We do this together. That’s definitely the vibe that I’ve been feeling from everybody. We just want to do it with love and respect and passion,” she continued.
The behind-the-scenes video also showcases how the makeup artists, hairstylists and costume designers worked to bring Orïsha to life alongside interviews with cast members Regina King and Idris Elba.
“We have a really amazing crew here to bring this vision to life,” King says.
Children of Blood and Bone is coming to theaters on January 15, 2027. Thuso Mbedu, Damson Idris, Amandla Stenberg, Tosin Cole, Cynthia Erivo, Lashana Lynch, Zackary Momoh, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Chiwetel Ejiofor, King, Elba and Viola Davis star.
Paramount also announced that a new trailer for the film will be released Tuesday.
