Amazon MGM Studios released the trailer for The Runner on Thursday. The film premieres Sept. 2 on Prime Video.
Gadot plays an attorney who drops her son (Rory Wilmot) off at school and goes for a morning run. A kidnapper abducts her son and blackmails her into killing a witness for him.
The trailer shows Gadot running around town, jumping out of an ambulance and off a bridge, and fighting subway thieves.
Damian Lewis plays the kidnapper. Alfred Enoch also stars. Kevin Macdonald directs from a script by Mark Gibson.
In addition to Wonder Woman, Gadot’s action credentials include Fast and the Furious movies, Red Notice and Heart of Stone.
