‘Scary Movie’ tops North American box office with $55M

Scary Movie is the No. 1 movie in North America, earning $55 million in receipts this weekend, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.
Coming in at No. 2 with $29.3 million is Masters of the Universe, followed by Backrooms at No. 3 with $25.9 million, Obsession at No. 4 with $25.6 million and The Amazing Digital Circus at No. 5 with $11.6 million.
Rounding out the top tier are Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu at No. 6 with $10 million, Michael at No. 7 with $7.7 million, The Breadwinner at No. 8 with $3.4 million, Pressure at No. 9 with $3 million and The Devil Wears Prada 2 at No. 10 with $2.8 million.
