Netflix announced Wednesday that Cliff Booth will premiere in IMAX theaters before streaming on Netflix. The theatrical release date is Nov. 25 and the Netflix date is Dec. 23.
Cliff Booth is the sequel to Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood. Brad Pitt reprises his role as the stuntman who battled the Manson family with actor Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) in the film.
Once Upon a Time writer/director Quentin Tarantino wrote the screenplay. David Fincher directs, the fourth time he’s directed Pitt after Seven, Fight Club and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Pitt’s co-stars include Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Peter Weller. The sequel follows Booth in 1977.
The news follows the announcement that Greta Gerwig’s Narnia will release in IMAX theaters months before its Netflix premiere next year.
