Disney announced on Thursday that it is releasing Hamilton in a 4K UHD Collector’s Edition. The Collector’s Edition will be available to own June 16.
The filmed 2016 Broadway performance premiered on Disney+ in 2020. It was released in theaters in September.
Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote the musical based on Ron Chernow’s biography and stars as Alexander Hamilton. The original cast includes Daveed Diggs, Phillipa Soo, Leslie Odom Jr., Renée Elise Goldsberry, Jonathan Groff, Jasmine Cephas Jones and Anthony Ramos. Thomas Kail directed the filmed performance.
The Collector’s edition includes a new documentary Spark Into Flame: Hamilton & Hip-Hop. It also includes a featurette called “Reuniting the Revolution,” a sing-along version and memorabilia like fabric poster, art cards and lyric booklet.
