Weapons, the horror film from Barbarian writer-director Zach Cregger, will stream on HBO Max Oct. 24.
The film will then play on linear the following day.
Weapons stars Julia Garner, an elementary school teacher who faces public scrutiny after all but one of her students disappears overnight.
A previously-released trailer shows Josh Brolin’s character demanding answers during an apparent meeting with other parents.
“We’re talking about 17 kids in one classroom,” he says. “I wanna know what happened in that classroom. Why just her classroom? Why only hers?”
In an earlier interview, Garner described the movie as “very cryptic.”
“There is a lot of jump scares,” she said.
Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Cary Christopher, Benedict Wong and Amy Madigan also star in the film, which opened in theaters in August.
