Sandra Oh, Kumail Nanjiani, Bowen Yang and Connie Chung are participating in HBO’s documentary film The A List: 15 Stories from Asian and Pacific Diasporas, which premieres May 13.
Directed by Eugene Yi, the film offers stories from across the Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities in America.
The series invites “viewers to question umbrella terms like ‘Asian American’ and ‘AAPI,’ and instead draw focus to the individuals and the communities themselves.”
Journalist Jada Yuan will interview participants, which also include Yia Vang, Amanda Nguyen, DJ Rekha, athlete, Schuyler Bailar, Madelyn Yu, Manny Crisostomo, Nergis Mavalvala, Kathy Masaoka, Haroon Mokhtarzada, Senator Tammy Duckworth and Cliff Kapono.
