Taylor Swift announced Monday that she will release a song for the film Toy Story 5. “I Knew It, I Knew You” will drop Friday ahead of the June 19 release of the film.
Swift wrote and produced the song with Jack Antonoff. The Toy Story 5 soundtrack released on June 19 will also include the song.
Swift’s website is selling three CD editions with three versions of the song: The film version, an acoustic version and a piano version.
The country-inspired song reflects Jessie the cowgirl, voiced by Joan Cusack, who was introduced in Toy Story 2. Sarah McLachlan sang Jessie’s Toy Story 2 song “When She Loved Me.”
In Toy Story 5, Bonnie (Scarlett Spears) gets a tablet, Lilypad (Greta Lee). Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) and the other toys must rally to win Bonnie’s attention back.
