The Wicked Witch hat worn by Margaret Hamilton in the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz will be up for grabs at the Hollywood & Entertainment Signature Auction Dec. 9 and 10.

The black wool bunting hat is approximately 14 inches tall and 19 inches in diameter, and features a 22-inch chinstrap, a press release states.

“Few treasures in Hollywood history are as instantly recognizable — or as powerfully evocative — as the Wicked Witch’s hat. It represents not only one of the screen’s greatest villains, but also the craftsmanship, imagination and storytelling that made The Wizard of Oz a cornerstone of cinematic history,” said Heritage Auctions executive vice president Joe Maddalena in a statement.

The upcoming auction comes about a year after Judy Garland’s ruby slippers were sold at auction for nearly $2 million.

Other items for sale include The Wizard of Oz book signed by cast members and one of Garland’s slippers worn during rehearsal.

The starting bid for the hat is $100,000.

Cynthia Erivo plays Elphaba, the young woman who becomes known as the Wicked Witch of the West, in the new film Wicked: For Good, which opens in theaters Nov. 21. The movie was preceded by Wicked, a film based on the Gregory Maguire novel that imagines an origin story for the Wicked Witch and Glinda the Good.
