13-film Stanley Kubrick Criterion Collection set coming in October

The Criterion Collection announced The Complete Kubrick on Monday. The set will be available in 4K UHD Oct. 20.
The Complete Kubrick includes 13 feature films and three short films. The shorts are Day of the Fight, Flying Padre and The Seafarers.
Kubrick’s features from 1952’s Fear and Desire through 1999’s Eyes Wide Shut are included. The collection includes Kubrick’s international cut of The Shining.
Bonus features include James Mason and Sue Lyon screen tests for Lolita. Vivian Kubrick’s documentary Making “The Shining” is also restored to 4K.
Lee Unkrich, who edited the book Stanley Kubrick’s “The Shining,” gives a newly recorded commentary. So does Space Odyssey author Michael Benson on 2001: A Space Odyssey.
John Whitney Graphic Film and computer-animation films that inspired 2001’s groundbreaking special effects are also included.
Many more material’s from Kubrick’s own archives are also included. Criterion plans to announce further Kubrick merchandise in the future.
Criterion previously released editions of Paths of Glory, Barry Lyndon and Eyes Wide Shut.
