'One Battle After Another' leads with 6 Gotham Award nominations

Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another was nominated at the Gotham Awards for Best Feature, Director and Adapted Screenplay in New York Tuesday.

Two cast members — Benicio del Toro and Teyana Taylor — will compete in the Best Supporting Performance category, while co-star Chase Infiniti was nominated for Best Breakthrough Performer.

Also nominated for Best Feature are Bugonia, East of Wall, Familiar Touch, Hamnet, If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, Lurker, Sorry, Baby, The Testament of Ann Lee and Train Dreams.

Shortlisted for Best Performance are Jessie Buckley for Hamnet, Lee Byung-hun for No Other Choice, Rose Byrne for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, Sopé Dìrísù for My Father’s Shadow, Ethan Hawke for Blue Moon, Jennifer Lawrence for Die My Love, Wagner Moura for The Secret Agent, Josh O’Connor for The Mastermind, Amanda Seyfried for The Testament of Ann Lee and Tessa Thompson for Hedda.

In the running for Best Performance are Jacob Elordi for Frankenstein, Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas for Sentimental Value, Indya Moore for Father Mother Sister Brother, Wunmi Mosaku for Sinners, Adam Sandler for Jay Kelly, Andrew Scott for Blue Moon, Alexander Skarsgård for Pillion and Stellan Skarsgård for Sentimental Value.

Vying for the title of Breakthrough Performer are A$AP Rocky for Highest 2 Lowest, Sebiye Behtiyar for Preparation for the Next Life, Abou Sangaré for Souleymane’s Story and Tonatiuh for Kiss of the Spider Woman.

The winners will be announced at a gala on Dec. 1.
