Amazon MGM Studios announced Wednesday that Project Hail Mary will stream on the MGM+ service. The film comes to MGM+ on June 18.

Project Hail Mary is currently available to rent or own for a fee on digital video-on-demand retailers including Prime Video, Apple TV+ and Fandango at Home. The film opened in theaters March 20.

Ryan Gosling plays Ryland Grace, a schoolteacher who awakens on a spaceship on a mission to save the Earth’s sun from solar devouring particles. On the mission, he meets an alien he dubs Rocky and they collaborate on solving their planets’ problem.

UPI praised Project Hail Mary in its review for celebrating the process of learning and exploring the apocalyptic premise with humor.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller directed the film. Drew Goddard adapted Andy Weir’s book.

Sandra Hüller, Lionel Boyce, Milana Vayntrub and Ken Leung also star.
